Letho and elite assassins will counterattack when player is relentlessly attacking them.

Well, the modder and developer extraordinaire did it again, with a Full Combat Rebalance 2 mod for the Witcher sequel, which seems to bring the combat in line with the upcoming threequel through a series of extensive tweaks to animations and underlying systems.
